On Wednesday 19 November, we received an unexpected, brief visit from Fr. Aaron Wessman, who had graciously served our Sint-Kwinten’s community, together with Fr. Bosco, from 2015 to 2019. He presided at the Eucharist on Wednesday evening and reminded us of the countless times he presided here and urged us to remain courageous in living our Christian lives to the fullest today, in word and deed, even in difficult moments.
Fr. Aaron is now vicar general and director of formation for the Glenmary Home Missioners, a missionary society of apostolic life that conducts missions in rural, poor, and non-Catholic areas of the United States, primarily in the southeast and Appalachia.
Farewell, Fr. Aaron, and thank you for the brief reunion.
