Salsa for Ukraine, a charity event held in the Sint-Kwintenshuis on Friday 20 September, was one of those events that moved both body and soul. People of several nations, cultures, and beliefs gathered to support the same goal: helping people who have suffered life-changing injuries on the battlefield and on the street.
The event started with a reception during which one could try several Ukrainian snacks as well as many delicious dishes from other countries, such as Italy and India.
The sphere was enhanced by the moving and informative talk given by Tetiana Lukianova, a Ukrainian engineer, who also came up with the idea to donate the proceeds to the organization ‘Superhumans’.
For the people who wanted to improve their skills in dancing, Réka Kaán and Rajesh Palanisamy gave a basic salsa workshop to bring more fun to the evening.
A big thank-you to everyone who supported the event by bringing food, donating, or simply being present!
We are happy to share the good news that Superhumans received 700 euros from our faith community! Well done everyone!
