Sunday 2 February 2025 at Sint-Kwinten we celebrated the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple, commonly known locally as Lichtmis (Candlemas).
We had invited the parents with their child baptized since Candlemas 2024. Many were present.
We also had one of our former shepherds visiting, Fr. Don Bosco Darsi, who presided at our Sunday Eucharist. An abundance of candles were blessed, and we all moved through the church in procession.
At the end of the celebration, all the children present were invited to the front to be blessed by the priests, “God bless and keep you.”
During hospitality we were treated to an abundance of pancakes.
