RESUMPTION OF PUBLIC SUNDAY EUCHARIST
14/06/2020 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Following the decision on Wednesday 3 June by the Belgian government that public religious services may resume starting on Monday 8 June, the Community Team (Gemeenschapsploeg) and Kerkraad (Church Council) of Sint-Kwinten met to plan for the resumption of our celebration of the Sunday Eucharist, which will begin on 14 June.
We are deeply grateful that it is once again possible for us to celebrate the Eucharist together, and we will be most happy to see you back in our beautiful Sint-Kwinten’s Church!
There are many regulations that need to be followed. These regulations include keeping a minimum distance between persons of 1.5 meters (this does not apply to persons living in the same house, who may sit together). Given this social-distancing regulation, we have determined that it is possible for 70 persons to attend the Eucharist at one time.
Those parishioners who wish to attend the Eucharist at Sint-Kwinten’s Church are required to register via this link: https://forms.gle/m8aeRbqcNfAyAVq6A
Register as soon as possible, as the 70 spaces will be assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis. The deadline to register is Friday 12 June.
Besides requiring you to register, we need several volunteers to serve as stewards to help make things run smoothly before, during, and after the Eucharist, as well as volunteers to disinfect the seats afterwards. The situation likely will not return to normal for quiet some time. So, we very much count on our community members to step up and provide the needed assistance. If you are able to help, please contact Henri: henri@catholicchurchleuven.be.
We already wish to thank everyone for their prayers. Please keep praying for guidance for our Church leaders and for all the members of our community!
