Welcome to Sint Kwinten's

The International Community of Sint Kwinten is a multicultural faith community united in Jesus Christ, a home to students from across the globe, to seasonal visitors, and to long-term Leuvenaars.

A place of worship, community building, and faith formation for people of all ages and walks of life. A place of encounter with Jesus Christ through his Word proclaimed, through his Body and Blood shared, through his Truth passed on, and through his Mercy extended.

Christ is alive! His life and his love are at the heart of our community life.

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: SHINING BRIGHT AT SINT-KWINTEN

This past Sunday after Mass, the second edition of the Children’s Program took place in the Sint-Kwintenshuis. The theme for the day was “You are the light of the world,” in line with the Gospel reading.  After a well-deserved snack, we played a name game to help the children get to know each other better. The next activity—a guided blindfold game in search of the light—served as an introduction to the theme: guiding each other toward the light, the light of Jesus.  We wrapped up the games with an action song, fittingly titled “We Are” (often known as “We Are the Light of the World”) by Kari Jobe.  Then came the central part of the program: a story about a girl named Sunshine. She helped a boy at her birthday party who didn’t know how to play a game. Sunshine wanted to help him because she remembered that Jesus calls us to be a […]

LIGHT OF HOPE IN SINT-KWINTEN

“If we are faithful to our baptism, we will spread the light of hope.” — Pope Francis.  Last Sunday, February 1, was a special day in our Sint-Kwintens Church. We were able to welcome all the little children and their proud parents who have been baptized since February 2025. Together we celebrated a heartwarming Eucharist.  The most solemn moment was the children’s blessing. While Anouk pronounced this beautiful prayer, the little ones received the blessing of the priests:  “Good God, we stretch out our hands over our children, as we did at the baptism, so that they may become Your children who learn to know You and live in You. We embrace our children as Jesus did with the children, so that through us they may feel Your protection. Keep our children from evil and let them walk good paths, so that they may be and remain children of the Light in the footsteps of Jesus and filled with Your Holy Spirit. Amen.” 🙏🤍  Not only the very youngest, but also all the other children present were called forward for a personal blessing.  After the celebration it was […]
